Testing...1, 2, 3...Is this thing on?

Well, I was away longer than I planned...Ever had one of those weeks that suddenly became two of those weeks?  It seems like the closer I get to spring break or the due date of some super huge paper, the more likely I am to get sick. :-p (I actually sprained my ankle AND got the flu last spring break...do I know how to celebrate or what?!)

Now, papers are done and I'm feeling better, so fingers crossed! :-)

Tiny little break?

So, just taking a tiny mental health break in the midst of my sea of papers.  I keep telling myself that I am almost done...with at least one! ;-)  Doesn't help that the weather is beautiful today and I would rather just hang out outside. :-(

Anyway, music provides a nice little break!

What do you do to pass the time when you are supposed to be doing other things?

Lazy Saturday...What's that?

So, for some reason, every professor expects a big paper this next week.  In addition to the two somewhat small papers I had to write last week.  Additionally, this week's reading list is ridiculous. >.<  Feeling just a wee bit stressed out!  Weather hasn't been helping, either.  Kinda dreary.

However, when I stop for two seconds in the middle of my own little pity party and think about the tragedy that is going on over in Japan right now, my 4 little papers due this week seem rather small and insignificant.  Thoughts and prayers to all affected.  Please send up your own prayers (if you are so inclined), as well.

Fashion, anyone?

Lately, I have been reading a lot of fashion blogs.  While I am not sure that I would ever be so brave as to post my outfits on the web for all to see, I so admire the courage of those who do.  By sharing what they choose to wear, they have inspired me to branch out a bit from my "safety net" of a wardrobe.  I find myself reaching for a bright color or grabbing a fun pair of shoes to finish off an outfit frequently because of something I have seen on one of these blogs. :-)  I am also discovering "new" things in my closet that I completely forgot I had!

Anyway, to those bloggers, thanks for sharing! :-)

Well, I'm still trying to decide what the content of this particular blog will be...but I think I've made some headway on the most important part...the look! ;-)

Welcome!

Well, hello! So glad you found my (new) little blog home.  Unfortunately, my old blog got eaten somehow (although I assume it is still somewhere out there in internet-land, I just can't seem to access it anymore :-( )

I really am unsure what direction I want to take this particular blog in...losing the old one has been strangely liberating in a way...the possibilities are wide open and the potential is limitless!

I suppose I should ponder that for a little bit...I will get back to you soon with a topic and some sort of direction!
