And now, it's the end of July...

This is getting a little ridiculous...I visit my blog everyday and am constantly checking my blogroll just waiting for one of the blogs I follow to update, yet I seldom update my own blog...does that make me a hypocrite? ;-)

I am so ready for fall to get here!  Can't wait for all the cute fall fashions and to wear my super cute coats and boots!  Speaking of boots, I am slightly obsessing over Hunter boots lately... Sydney at The Daybook got a green pair and now Linda at Rose a la Mode is giving them away!  There is not a drop of rain in the sky and the temp is supposed to reach 100 degrees and all I can think about is rain boots!  I hope I win!

June?!?

Seriously, somebody must be crossing days off of the calendar when I am not looking! How can it already be June?!?

Anyway... here are a few items I am liking right now...

TOMS Shoes... does anybody have these? Comfy? True to size? Advice would be appreciated :-)

iPad... okay, mine is the original iPad, not the iPad2, but I cannot begin to describe how much I LOVE it.  At first I was a little hesitant because I didn't think I would find it that useful...I have found so many amazing uses for it...I can't remember what I did before I had it.  I can't tell you how much $$$$ it saved me in ink and paper this past semester in school.  All of the articles and readings I had for class, I just loaded them on the iPad (in pdf form) through GoodReader and I was able to highlight, annotate, draw and mark up the documents to my heart's content.  The search feature was also amazing during class discussions when I needed to find something to reference from an earlier work. :-) (Fair warning, I adore pretty much anything Apple does :-) )

1154 Lill...How cute are these bags?  I may have to break down and design one for myself.  Fun to play designer right now, though! :-)

What comes between March and May?

Nothing according to this blog! Apparently I skipped posting in April entirely!  Poor neglected little blog.  Now that I am done with school for the summer, I promise to post more often!  Whether I have anything intelligent to say when I do post is another matter entirely! ;-)

What are you most looking forward to this summer?  Least?

I think I need to try and get back in shape this summer.  Tired of feeling sluggish... Any tips or hints to lose a lot of weight with a minimal amount of effort while still having regular soda and candy?  If so, I'll take the advice right now...no time to waste!  Otherwise, I'll go the boring "watch what I eat and exercise" route :-p

School is all over (or at least almost) but the grading...fingers crossed!

Testing...1, 2, 3...Is this thing on?

Well, I was away longer than I planned...Ever had one of those weeks that suddenly became two of those weeks?  It seems like the closer I get to spring break or the due date of some super huge paper, the more likely I am to get sick. :-p (I actually sprained my ankle AND got the flu last spring break...do I know how to celebrate or what?!)

Now, papers are done and I'm feeling better, so fingers crossed! :-)

Tiny little break?

So, just taking a tiny mental health break in the midst of my sea of papers.  I keep telling myself that I am almost done...with at least one! ;-)  Doesn't help that the weather is beautiful today and I would rather just hang out outside. :-(

Anyway, music provides a nice little break!

What do you do to pass the time when you are supposed to be doing other things?

Lazy Saturday...What's that?

So, for some reason, every professor expects a big paper this next week.  In addition to the two somewhat small papers I had to write last week.  Additionally, this week's reading list is ridiculous. >.<  Feeling just a wee bit stressed out!  Weather hasn't been helping, either.  Kinda dreary.

However, when I stop for two seconds in the middle of my own little pity party and think about the tragedy that is going on over in Japan right now, my 4 little papers due this week seem rather small and insignificant.  Thoughts and prayers to all affected.  Please send up your own prayers (if you are so inclined), as well.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.  I will try to post something tomorrow.

Fashion, anyone?

Lately, I have been reading a lot of fashion blogs.  While I am not sure that I would ever be so brave as to post my outfits on the web for all to see, I so admire the courage of those who do.  By sharing what they choose to wear, they have inspired me to branch out a bit from my "safety net" of a wardrobe.  I find myself reaching for a bright color or grabbing a fun pair of shoes to finish off an outfit frequently because of something I have seen on one of these blogs. :-)  I am also discovering "new" things in my closet that I completely forgot I had!

Welcome!

Well, hello! So glad you found my (new) little blog home.  Unfortunately, my old blog got eaten somehow (although I assume it is still somewhere out there in internet-land, I just can't seem to access it anymore :-( )

I really am unsure what direction I want to take this particular blog in...losing the old one has been strangely liberating in a way...the possibilities are wide open and the potential is limitless!

I suppose I should ponder that for a little bit...I will get back to you soon with a topic and some sort of direction!
