Merry Christmas!

Surprisingly, I still know the password for this blog!  Perhaps I will expand a bit on content in the New Year, but for now I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2017!

Day 1 - story of your life...

Well...here we go...

Being a private person in general and even more so when it comes to the Internet, I don't think I am too thrilled to sum up my life and post it.  So, while it does not necessarily bode well for the completion of the "post every day for a month" challenge, I am going to pass on specifics for this and just include some videos for fun! :-)

Blog Every Single Day?!!

Jenni at Story of My Life (in my blogroll on the left) has issued a challenge to blog every day in May...seems a little daunting but I want to try it anyway.  She has made it a super easy challenge, though...we are allowed to make up a post if we miss a day.  I'll try not to but I probably will...

Here are the posts for each of the 31 (YIKES!) days...

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)
Day 2, Thursday: Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at. Take any approach you'd like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic)
Day 3, Friday: Things that make you uncomfortable
Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it
Day 5, Sunday: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don't have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member
Day 6, Monday: If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?
Day 7, Tuesday: The thing(s) you're most afraid of
Day 8, Wednesday: A piece of advice you have for others. Anything at all.
Day 9, Thursday: A moment in your day (this can be just a photo or both a photo and words)
Day 10, Friday: Most embarrassing moment (s). Spill.
Day 11, Saturday: Sell yourself in 10 words or less
Day 12, Sunday: What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)
Day 13, Monday: Issue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be.
Day 14, Tuesday: Ten things that make you really happy
Day 15, Wednesday: A Day in the life (include photos from throughout your typical day - this could be "a photo an hour" if you'd like)
Day 16, Thursday: Something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it
Day 17, Friday: A favorite photo of yourself and why
Day 18, Saturday: Tell a story from your childhood. Dig deep and try to be descriptive about what you remember and how you felt.
Day 19, Sunday: Five of your favorite blogs and what you love about them
Day 20, Monday: Get real. Share something you're struggling with right now.
Day 21, Tuesday: A list of links to your favorite posts in your archives
Day 22, Wednesday: Rant about something. Get up on your soapbox and tell us how you really feel. (a pet peeve, a current event, a controversial topic, something your husband or roommate or neighbor or boss does that really ticks you off)
Day 23, Thursday: Things you've learned that school won't teach you
Day 24, Friday: Your top 3 worst traits
Day 25, Saturday: Something someone told you about yourself that you'll never forget (good or bad)
Day 26, Sunday: Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like.
Day 27, Monday: A letter to your readers
Day 28, Tuesday: Only pictures
Day 29, Wednesday: Five songs or pieces of music that speak to you or bring back memories. Use Grooveshark or YouTube to include them in the post
Day 30, Thursday: React to this term: Letting Go
Day 31, Friday: A vivid memory

Want to join us?

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I've posted anything.  I guess the funny thing is that I visit my blog on a daily basis and read all of the new posts from the blogs I've follow...I just don't post on my own.  I'm going to try to change that! :-)

Randomness...

I don't remember this commercial, but I do remember those McDonald's uniforms...:-)

Am I the only one that remembers Jay Leno used to do these commercials? :-)

Whatever happened to Jell-o Pudding Pops?

Mom...

The P&G commercials for the Olympics are some of the best, sweetest and most emotional ones.  I love their latest one for the 2012 Summer Games in London. :-)

and...call me maybe....

Everyone has already seen this a million times, but what would my blog be if I didn't post it too? ;-)

New Design?

It seems like every year around this time, I get the itch to try something new.  This normally means that I want to get my hair cut and make some radical change that I will instantly regret.  I never do anything too "out there" with my hair...trim a couple of inches, add a little more layering...nothing that varies too far from the "me" I've always been.

Now, I find myself looking at my blog in the same way I look at my hair...don't be shocked if stuff looks a little different around here for awhile...I think I want to play with the design a bit.  May not even make any permanent changes, but just a temporary spring "do"...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, I am not doing that great on posting with more frequency, am I?  At least I am remembering the major holidays! ;-)

Lots going on in my "real" life...away from the computer...will blog about that when I get a chance to, but for now too busy!

Anthropologie

Ok, so I am a little late to the party, but I love browsing Anthropologie's website...even more that they are posting fall things!

Some of my favorites...
Line-Upon-Line Cardi - if only I was a little bit taller...

Ihrin Shirtdress - The green is so fresh, but the dark purple is adorable too

Eastward Dress Coat - Every wardrobe needs a pop of coral...how fun would this be in the gray winter weather?

Rufflescape Wedges - Way more than I have ever spent on shoes, but they are just too cute...love the ruffles and the multi-color...anybody know where I can something similar and cheaper?

What is your favorite article of clothing?

And now, it's the end of July...

This is getting a little ridiculous...I visit my blog everyday and am constantly checking my blogroll just waiting for one of the blogs I follow to update, yet I seldom update my own blog...does that make me a hypocrite? ;-)

I am so ready for fall to get here!  Can't wait for all the cute fall fashions and to wear my super cute coats and boots!  Speaking of boots, I am slightly obsessing over Hunter boots lately... Sydney at The Daybook got a green pair and now Linda at Rose a la Mode is giving them away!  There is not a drop of rain in the sky and the temp is supposed to reach 100 degrees and all I can think about is rain boots!  I hope I win!

Post more later (I promise!)

Testing...1, 2, 3...Is this thing on?

Well, I was away longer than I planned...Ever had one of those weeks that suddenly became two of those weeks?  It seems like the closer I get to spring break or the due date of some super huge paper, the more likely I am to get sick. :-p (I actually sprained my ankle AND got the flu last spring break...do I know how to celebrate or what?!)

Now, papers are done and I'm feeling better, so fingers crossed! :-)

More tomorrow...

Tiny little break?

So, just taking a tiny mental health break in the midst of my sea of papers.  I keep telling myself that I am almost done...with at least one! ;-)  Doesn't help that the weather is beautiful today and I would rather just hang out outside. :-(

Anyway, music provides a nice little break!

What do you do to pass the time when you are supposed to be doing other things?

((Back to the title of the post, can something be "tiny" and "little"...is that redundant?))
